From Dean Guthrie:
The GW School of Business is pleased to announce that Mark D. Lerner, BBA, ’75, will serve as the 2011 graduate commencement speaker. Lou Rosenfeld, BBA, ’80, will deliver the undergraduate commencement speech.
Lerner is a native Washingtonian and principal owner and vice chairman of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club. He is also a principal of Lerner Enterprises, the largest private real estate developer in the Washington, D.C. area. The company was founded by Mark’s father Theodore N. Lerner, a GW Law School alumnus and former George Washington University Trustee and Executive Committee member. Lerner’s son Jacob will be graduating with his BBA/MTA in the 2011 Graduate Commencement ceremony.
Rosenfeld currently serves as managing director in the mortgage-backed-securities department at Goldman Sachs. Prior to this role, Rosenfeld spent 15 years in a similar capacity at Bear Stearns and also at Kidder, Peabody and R.B.S. While at Bear Stearns, he initiated and helped institutionalize a recruiting relationship with the GWSB undergraduate career center that helped many students land summer internships and full-time positions at Bear. He also serves as a member of the GWSB Board of Advisors.
