ISO OPT Workshop

The goal of Optional Practical Training (OPT) is to provide international students with practical on-the-job experience that is directly related to the student’s current field of study and degree level. At this workshop you will learn more about what is OPT, who is eligible and how to apply. This will be the only workshop on OPT at the School of Business this semester.

The George Washington University Energy Club, in conjunction with the GW Net Impact Chapter, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Business Response Conference on February 24th at the Jack Morton Auditorium in the George Washington Media and Public Affairs Building (805 21st St. NW) . This event will dissect the issues of rising energy demand and supply side solutions through three panel discussions: The Role of Policy, Project Finance, and Corporate Strategy.

These events – Feb. 7 and March 28 from 6-8pm – allow GW students to present a 2 minute elevator pitch before an audience and panel of experts and receive feedback from the panel. GW is hosting the Clinton Global Initiative on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. GW is looking for volunteers for the weekend. “Be part of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) Annual Meeting at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus on Mar. 30 – Apr. 1, 2012. During CGI U, GW will host more than 1,200 students from around the world, as well as a large number of prominent speakers, including President Bill Clinton.”
