Spring Course Feedback – Yes, Its Anonymous!
Have You Registered for Summer and Fall 2014?
Graduation Tickets

Dear MSPM Students,

As we approach the final week or two of the semester, these are the top 3 items you need to know this week:

Spring Course Feedback – Yes, Its Anonymous!

Students should have received course feedback surveys this past week. Responding to these surveys is the best way to provide feedback on the course and the professor. Once the survey opens, students have only 5 days to respond. Surveys will likely not be reissued once they close. Many students ask if the surveys are truly anonymous. The answer is a resounding yes! The faculty do not see the survey results until several months after the course ends, long after your final grade has been issued.

Have Your Registered for Summer and Fall 2014?

Registration is open for both the summer and fall 2014 semesters. Register immediately to confirm your seat in a course and to save courses with low enrollment from being cancelled. Additional enrollments in the on-campus sections of summer courses are needed. If you have not yet registered or are able to switch from the distance to the on-campus section, please do so this week!

Registration for the fall semester is also open. For those who need to register for DNSC 6269 Project Management Application (capstone), you are unable to register via GWeb. You must submit a Registration Transaction Form to my attention to register for the course. Include all details, which may be found on the Schedule of Classes, regarding the course and section on the form. Incomplete forms will be returned to you for correction before they will be processed.

Unsure what to register for or looking to change your degree plan in DegreeMAP? Schedule an advisement session with me via www.meetme.so/gwmspm.

Graduation Tickets

On-campus graduates from the spring and summer 2014 semesters may now pick up their graduation tickets. Pick up your tickets from Duques Hall, Suite 355 Monday through Friday, 12-6 pm. Ticket distribution ends on 7 May. You must present a valid GWorld card and a graduation survey confirmation receipt to pick up your tickets.

Distance graduates from the spring and summer 2014 semesters should begin receiving their tickets via FedEx. If you have not received your tickets by Monday, 5 May, contact gwsbtix@gwu.edu immediately. Do not contact the MSPM program office as we will direct you to gwsbtix@gwu.edu.

All fall 2013 graduates should contact gwsbtix@gwu.edu to request tickets for graduation. Once you do so, tickets will be sent via FedEx for receipt by 5 May. If you have already requested your tickets and have not received them by Monday, 5 May, contact gwsbtix@gwu.edu immediately. Do not contact the MSPM program office as we will direct you to gwsbtix@gwu.edu.

All information about graduation is available online via http://business.gwu.edu/commencement/ or http://commencement.gwu.edu/. Visit these resources first, before contacting our office with questions.

Vote for the 2014 Outstanding MSPM Faculty Award
Summer 2014 Registration – Distance Sections Almost Full
National Fellowship Databases

Dear MSPM Students,

The top 3 items you need to know this week:

Vote for the 2014 Outstanding MSPM Faculty Award

Submit your vote before 12pm EDT on Friday, April 4, for the 2014 Outstanding MSPM Faculty Award. This is your opportunity to recognize your favorite professor for their contributions and dedication to MSPM students and the program.

Summer 2014 Registration – Distance Sections Almost Full

The distance sections of our summer course offerings are almost full. If your plan in DegreeMAP included attendance in the summer semester and you are limited to only distance courses, register immediately to claim your seat. If you are in the DC metro area and are able to attend the on campus sections, register accordingly.

If you have a financial hold on your account, you must resolve the outstanding balance with GW before you are able to register. The MSPM program office is not authorized to remove or bypass financial holds. If, however, you have an academic hold on your account, schedule an advisement session with me to discuss.

National Fellowship Databases

GW’s Office of Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships provides access to national fellowship databases. MSPM students are encouraged to utilize databases, such as Grant Forward and Pivot, to seek out funding for your graduate education. Many scholarships and fellowships are not issued annually because students simply do not apply.

Need help with your scholarship or fellowship application essay? Book an appointment with the GW Writing Center to present the best you in your application essay.
