Dear MSPM students,

The top 3 items you need to know this week:

Volunteers Needed at Fall 2014 Orientation, 15 Aug

Approximately 4 volunteers are need to assist with the bridge game at the MSPM orientation on Friday, 15 Aug. Remember the fun you had as an incoming MSPM student at orientation? Now is your chance to help lead the bridge game! The game is scheduled for Friday, 15 Aug, from approximately 1:30-4 pm. Contact Cambria Happ at chapp@gwu.edu if you are interested in volunteering.

GW Virtual Computer Lab

Instructions on how to access the Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) have been added to the Resources tab of www.gwprojectmanagement.org. MSPM students can access software tools, such as SAS, Decision Tools, and Expert Choice via the VCL.

As a reminder, www.gwprojectmanagement.org provides information on how to access a variety of software tools that you’ll use within the MSPM program. The site also provides a list of training and tutorial resources to learn how to use the various software tools.

New & Improved Financial Aid Website

GW’s Office of Student Financial Assistance launched their recently redesigned website. The site should be more user friendly with informative and intuitive navigation. When reviewing information under the “Getting Assistance” and “Assistance Types” sections, be sure to confirm that you select the “Graduate” tab. The Office of Student Financial Assistance has also put together a helpful one-pager on the federal and private alternative loan process.

If you are awaiting financial aid before registering for the fall semester, please be sure to comply with all deadlines to keep the process moving. If you have questions on your course options for the fall, schedule an advisement session with me via www.meetme.so/gwmspm. Remember, I serve as the academic adviser for all MSPM students and am here to help you complete the program in the proper sequence and in a timely manner, while abiding by all necessary policies.
