Description: Join PMIWDC and local community partners for the 2015 Volunteer Fair, an evening of fun, games, exciting prizes and a chance to learn how you can get engaged with some of the most meaningful projects in the DC area and with the chapter. Volunteering is one of the most satisfying and rewarding ways to earn PDUs – especially when you’re giving back to the profession. But did you know it’s also the best way to network? Volunteering gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your awesome PM “skillz” to a whole new crowd of people who really need what you bring to the table. It’s also a great way to explore new interests and get fresh insights from other like-minded leaders. And it also leads to leadership development by taking on volunteer and leadership positions with the chapter. All this and a cash bar! How can you resist?

Door Open for Networking at 5:30pm!

Title: GWERT Mentors: 100 Mentors’ Match-up for GW Students
Location: City View Room, 1957 E Street NW, 7th floor, Washington, DC

Description: The GW Office of Entrepreneurship and the GW Entrepreneurs Round Table (GWERT) Mentors Program will be pairing experienced mentors with GW students. Being a student startup founder is difficult and the process of idea generation and validation is often the highest hurdle. By offering pre-startup mentoring to aspiring GW students at the business idea stage, the GWERT Mentors will help motivated students transition to entrepreneurship by identifying best practices, minimizing risks, and optimizing potential success of the startups that emerge from the pre-startup mentorship.
