About the Event: PMIWDC chapter has typically hosted a second monthly chapter event at alternate locations to widen the sharing of knowledge to span across the DC metro area. This year we are moving to universities. We will partner with local universities to host a quarterly PM Talks event on their campus. These will be free for students, and a nominal fee for young professionals and members. This is a unique opportunity in one evening to hear 3 speakers, each presenting on one area of the PMI Talent Triangle – so you will be able to hone your project management skills on technical, leadership and strategic and business topics. There will also be time for networking with students and professionals in the local area. We will have food and drinks too! Come and eat, mingle, learn and enjoy with your PM community!
The presentations are educational and informative to those professionals operating in the field of project management and functioning in leadership roles in industry and government. It is also of great value to those looking to step into the field of Project Management and begin their certification process. Each event will have 3 speakers presenting on each area of the talent triangle – technical, leadership, and strategic and business management. So in one evening you can enhance all 3 talent triangle skills, unique to the presenter’s area of expertise and the subject matter discussed while directly relating to improving the practice of managing projects and leading others. At each University PM Talks Event certified PMPs can earn 2 Professional Development Units (PDUs).
