The Columbian Women of the George Washington University scholarship application is now open. Each year, Columbian Women awards $90,000 in scholarships to women attending GW. Scholarships are provided to students of all GW schools. Apply by March 14.
See www.columbianwomen.org for more information. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
The objective of The Columbian Women Scholarship (TUITION ONLY) is to recognize and assist women pursuing a degree program in any field of study at the George Washington University who demonstrate a high level of achievement in academia and a commitment to their chosen profession.
The Columbian Women Scholarship is based on merit and financial need. Applicants are first evaluated for financial need; applicants meeting the need criteria typically have an expected family contribution of less than $10,000 as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applicants are required to complete a FAFSA application prior to applying for a Columbian Women Scholarship.
Awards will only be made for the 2016-2017 academic year. Although award amounts may vary, approximately $90,000 will be awarded in 2016-2017 with most individual awards ranging between $5,000 and $10,000. Scholarship awards will cover tuition costs only. If a scholarship recipient registers for fewer credits than the initial award was given, the amount will be reduced to ensure only tuition costs are covered. The remaining amount will be returned to The Columbian Women. Award recipients (and other applicants) are eligible to reapply in subsequent years.
