1- DNSC 6247 Organization, Management and Leadership Course. Announcement, we are changing instructors for DNSC 6247 campus and distance sections beginning Spring 2018. Changes are as follows:

CRN 38063, DNSC 6247 Campus (10) will be taught by Dr. Robert Gaarder.          Dr. Gaarder is an Executive Coach and Organization Development Consultant to leaders of professional service organizations. He has been teaching with GWU since 2012 and owns a Professional Training & Coaching company, Leadership Resources. You may view Dr. Gaarder’s profile here.

CRN 38076, DNSC 6247 Distance (DE) will be taught by Dr. Julia Keleher.            Dr. Keleher is currently serving as Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. She has been teaching with GWU MSPM program since 2012 and founded her own company, Keleher and Associates in 2009. See more information here.  

2- Spring 2018 elective. The MSPM program is going to offer one, 3-credit elective course in Spring 2018 semester. This elective is available online, and may be applied to the Decision Sciences (DNSC) elective requirement for the MSPM program.  Below is a brief description of course offering: 

DNSC 6235: Communication Strategies in Project Management, DE (3 credits) This course examines leadership and management practices related to communication that facilitate successful project management. The course considers project communications across various organizational settings and through the five (5) project management process areas. We will focus on strategies and practices related to 1) communication 2) change management, and 3) performance reporting. Course readings focus on best practices in these areas. The culminating course project requires the application of practices learned in the context of an actual project.

3- GW Holiday Hours and Closures. GW will be closed December 22, 25, 29 and January 1. If you need to contact the MSPM program office or schedule an advisement session, please do so with these dates in mind. It is best to schedule an advisement session before December 22, or after January 1.
