1-  Two free registrations to Summer 2017 PMP Prep Course. The MSPM program is pleased to offer two free registrations to the Summer 2017 PMP Prep Course offered by the PMI Washington DC chapter. Registrations are regularly priced at $995. Courses will be offered on two weekends beginning Saturday, 22 July through Sunday, 30 July from 8:30 am to 4 pm at the Virginia Tech Language and Culture Institute  2677 Prosperity Ave., Suite 600 Fairfax, VA 22031.

If interested, submit the following by 13 July 2017 to Agnes Socrates (aesocrates@gwu.edu):

  • Name, GWid, email and phone number
  • PMIWDC membership number
  • 300 word statement as to why you should receive the free registration

2-  Scholarships and Grants. Students who will be interning in unpaid internships this fall are encouraged to apply for the Knowledge in Action Career Internship Fund (KACIF) program. The KACIF provides grants ranging up to $3,000 to GW undergraduate and graduate students pursuing internships that are necessarily unpaid. Check out the KACIF website if interested.

As posted last week, George Patton Memorial Scholarship is accepting applications for Fall semester. The scholarship will award a maximum of up to US$2,000 which may be awarded in whole or in part to one or more individuals each time.
