1- The George Washington University announced the appointment of Dr. Anuj Mehrotra as new GWSB Dean. Dr. Mehrotra will take office at GWSB on 1 July 2018. Dr. Vivek Choudhury, who has been serving as the GWSB Interim Dean for the past year, has done a remarkable job of leading the school following Dr. Linda Livingstone’s departure. Dr. Mehrotra is currently the Senior Vice-Dean for Faculty Development and Research at the University of Miami’s Business School (read more here).

2- The George Washington University will host a slate of France-themed events this week to commemorate Wednesday’s visit by President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron to the Foggy Bottom Campus. Mr. Macron will host a town hall at 3 p.m. Wednesday, 25 April, at the Charles E. Smith Center. Tickets will be made available to GW students through a lottery system.

1- Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 registrations are ongoing. Continuing students may register for classes on GWeb. Students can view list of course offerings via the registrar’s website. Students are responsible for reviewing their record in GWeb to ensure they do not have any holds on their record. Holds can prevent students from registering, adding or dropping classes, receiving transcripts, obtaining grades, or graduating. Holds are placed on student accounts for various reasons, such as tuition fee due to GW, the need to meet with your advisor, placement on probation, or unmet program requirements. PMIWDC’s Washington Circle luncheons are a series of free brownbag luncheons hosted at 2201 G St, NW in Downtown DC. There are luncheons every fourth Wednesday of the month, unless posted otherwise.

This program series is made possible by the generous support of George Washington University School of Business , which offers a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree. The MSPM program is designed to meet the needs of working professionals who want to enhance their ability to integrate complex projects, motivate people, and achieve cost-effective results. With courses offered both on-campus and online, students have the flexibility to complete the degree from virtually anywhere.

Washington Circle luncheons are free and open to the public. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.
