About the Presentation: The last few years have seen a meteoric rise in disciplines related to using and exploring large quantities of data (Big Data), such as Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things. A part of the Artificial Intelligence domain, Machine Learning took hold in many corporations and started impacting the business outcomes. In turn, Project Managers are suddenly facing a different type of project they are asked to manage: the Machine Learning project. This presentation is addressed to experienced Project Managers who want to understand how to manage Machine Learning projects, what are the specific challenges they will face, and what are some best practices to help them successfully deliver business value.

PDU Value of GW MSPM Classes
Some of you had questions about PDU value of courses you are taking in MSPM to apply for or maintain PMP certification. Here’s what we learned from PMI Global Accreditation Center:
Typically, 3 Academic Credits equal about 40 to 45 actual classroom hours. Per GWU MSPM’s definition, “One credit is defined as one hour of classroom or direct faculty instruction and a minimum of two hours out of class student work each week for approximately fifteen weeks for one semester.”
Based on this definition:
1 credit hour would equal 15 hours of class time, which equals 15 PDUs.
1.5 credit hours would equal 22.5 hours of class time, which equals 22.5 PDUs.
3 credit hours would equal 45 hours of class time, which equals 45 PDUs.
