GW Commencement 2015
The GW commencement site is now live for 2015. Details on the events hosted by GW and the GW School of business are included. The website will reflect the latest information. Students who graduate in Fall 2014, Spring 2015, and Summer 2015 are invited to participate. For those who graduate in Spring or Summer 2015, I will be sending instructions on how to apply for graduation shortly.

• Short-Term Study Abroad Programs Info Session, 28 Jan
GWSB Global & Experiential Education offers 11 opportunities for graduate students to study domestically or overseas this summer and earn up to 6 credits. A complete list of the programs is available online. Interested in learning more about these programs? Join G&EE on Wednesday, 28 Jan, 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Duques 255. The Global Business Consulting, Short-Term Consulting Abroad Project

Are you interested in solving REAL-WORLD challenges for GLOBAL clients? If so, apply to THE GLOBAL BUSINESS CONSULTING, a short-term consulting abroad program.

DETAILS
• Spring 2015 three-credit graduate-level course
• Open to GMBA (2nd year), PMBA/AMBA, MA, and MS students (includes MSPM!)
• Multi-university teams
• Prospective region: Latin America
• Students with proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply
• In-country component takes place in the second half of May 2015
• Application deadline: January 5th, 2015

COST
• Students pay a program fee ($2,500), tuition for the affiliated three-credit course at GW,
and roundtrip airfares to the Launch Weekend location and to the destination country. Financial assistance may be available.
• Clients pay a program fee ($7,500) and all in-country travel and accommodation expenses for students and faculty advisor.

Spring 2015 Blackboard Collaborate Schedule
The Blackboard Collaborate schedule for the spring semester is now available. The Collaborate sessions provide a live weekly interface with the professor for the distance/online sections. Confirm with each professor when the first Collaborate session will occur.

• Summer 2015 Short-Term Study Abroad Programs Announced
The GWSB Global & Experiential Education (G&EE) team has announced the summer 2015 short-term study abroad program courses/destinations. Review the list of courses/destinations online and schedule advisement sessions with me and the G&EE team if you are interested in participating. Applications due in February 2015.

Vote for the PMA Board of Directors
The ballot is now available to vote for the GW Project Management Association Board of Directors. Voting ends Sunday, 23 Nov, at 11:59 p.m. Who should lead the student association next?

GW Alumni Weekend 2014, Registration Ends Tomorrow

Register by Wednesday, 10 Sep, for GW Alumni Weekend 2014. Alumni Weekend is scheduled for 18-21 Sep. Students are encouraged to attend and actively participate. Activities range from special lectures to sporting events to concerts. Don’t miss out!

Winter and Spring Short-Term Abroad Programs Announced

The short-term study abroad programs (STAP) were announced last night for winter 2015 and spring 2015. A variety of countries are represented including Mexico, Singapore, Israel, and France. Applications for the winter 2015 programs are due by 1 Oct. The application deadline for spring programs is 2 Nov. Pay careful attention to the deadlines for each program as some are earlier than the dates listed above. Also, some programs are offering information sessions in the next few weeks so that you may learn more about each course before applying. This is a great way to earn elective credit and the programs are open to both on-campus and online students. Contact Lisa Brancheau to learn more about the study abroad courses at sbintl@gwu.edu.
