An introduction to Performance Improvement 
Our Performance Improvement team is all about helping clients improve security and efficiency, while also reducing their costs. We help clients by delivering assessment, transformation and process efficiency solutions in a variety of specialty areas.
Program Management
Our Program Management teams provide comprehensive services to design build and operate large complex transformational programs, including the following: PMO design, build and operate; Program transformation project management; Program delivery effectiveness.
Requirements for a position with the Program Management team include the following:
• Pursuing a master’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering and/or Business (Operations or Project Management) is preferred
• Experiences as a team lead on large scale complex programs with exposure to the following:  PMO Support, Project Management, Program Development/Testing, Business Requirements Analysis, Quality Assurance and large ERP implementation
• PMP is preferred
Work Locations include: Chicago, Dallas, New York, and San Francisco

Winter & Spring 2016 Short-Term Study Away Programs Announced
The GWSB Global & Experiential Education team has announced the winter and spring 2016 short-term study away programs. Interested in learning more about the courses and destinations? Attend an information session Tuesday, 15 Sep, 6-7:30 p.m. in Duques Hall, room 251. For those not able to attend, the session will be recorded and posted online for all to view. The courses qualify as general electives for the MSPM degree.

GW New Venture Competition, Kickoff Meeting 10 Sep
Participate in the fifth largest collegiate business plan competition in the country. The competition provides a real-world, experiential learning opportunity in entrepreneurship. Winners of the competition can actually launch and operate their ventures while maintaining complete control of their business through the issuance of non-dilutive cash grants. Ernst & Young Information Session, 17 Sep
EY is hosting an event specifically for MSPM students and alumni on Thursday, 17 Sep. Register to attend the session via GWork. During the session, the EY team will provide an overview of the firm’s Performance Improvement – Program Management practice area as well as a workshop on “how-to” respond to a consulting case interview. The team will be collecting resumes through GWorkSB and in-person at the event.

Anna Matsiras, a MSPM alum, reached out to the program to share that the EY is seeking highligh motivated consultants (senior-, manager-, senior manager-levels) to support client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and participate in business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts. We have PM teams that support Government (DC metro area), Financial Services, and our Performance Improvement practice area. We also have offices around the globe so do not hesitate to reach out for one of those opportunities as well.

Our focus areas within program management provide comprehensive services to design, build and operate large complex transformational programs.
