Congratulations to William Davis, Kerzner Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to MSPM student William Davis on receiving one of the four Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarships awarded in 2013. The $7,500 scholarship is provided through the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation Academic Scholarship Program, which is designed to financially assist qualified applicants in obtaining degrees from accredited academic institutions of higher learning in the field of project management. Well done William!

David Fowler Career Center is excited to present its first ever Career Week, a week-long programming series to be held September 30 – October 4 devoted to accelerating GWSB students’ job market readiness. The week will focus primarily on careers in Finance, Marketing and Consulting with activities for both graduate and undergraduate students. A quick update for all of our International students and the Curricular Practical Training process. Given the emphasis placed on internships in graduate school, CPT provides International Students with an important avenue to this professional experience.
POLICY CHANGE: The ISO now requires that those seeking CPT approval provide a student cover letter in addition to the advisor approval letter and employer approval letter.
The student’s cover letter should describe the type of training employment proposed, the specific course in which students will enroll (MBAD 6298.10), and how the proposed internship directly relates to the student’s field of study.
Remember this is a competitive process. Make certain that your accomplishments have breadth and quality, that your capacity for leadership, and your commitment to excellence in leading and managing public policies and programs shows! Let your resume reflect them, add a cover letter which speaks to those criteria. In addition, the 6 “critical competencies” should also be reflected:
-Motivation to Serve
