Spring Course Feedback – Yes, Its Anonymous!

Graduation Tickets

Dear MSPM Students,

As we approach the final week or two of the semester, these are the top 3 items you need to know this week:

Spring Course Feedback – Yes, Its Anonymous!

Students should have received course feedback surveys this past week. Responding to these surveys is the best way to provide feedback on the course and the professor. Once the survey opens, students have only 5 days to respond. Surveys will likely not be reissued once they close. Many students ask if the surveys are truly anonymous. The answer is a resounding yes! The faculty do not see the survey results until several months after the course ends, long after your final grade has been issued.

Have Your Registered for Summer and Fall 2014?

Registration is open for both the summer and fall 2014 semesters. Register immediately to confirm your seat in a course and to save courses with low enrollment from being cancelled. Additional enrollments in the on-campus sections of summer courses are needed. If you have not yet registered or are able to switch from the distance to the on-campus section, please do so this week!

Registration for the fall semester is also open. For those who need to register for DNSC 6269 Project Management Application (capstone), you are unable to register via GWeb. You must submit a Registration Transaction Form to my attention to register for the course. Include all details, which may be found on the Schedule of Classes, regarding the course and section on the form. Incomplete forms will be returned to you for correction before they will be processed.

Unsure what to register for or looking to change your degree plan in DegreeMAP? Schedule an advisement session with me via www.meetme.so/gwmspm.

Graduation Tickets

On-campus graduates from the spring and summer 2014 semesters may now pick up their graduation tickets. Pick up your tickets from Duques Hall, Suite 355 Monday through Friday, 12-6 pm. All fall 2013 graduates should contact gwsbtix@gwu.edu to request tickets for graduation. Once you do so, tickets will be sent via FedEx for receipt by 5 May. If you have already requested your tickets and have not received them by Monday, 5 May, contact gwsbtix@gwu.edu immediately. Do not contact the MSPM program office as we will direct you to gwsbtix@gwu.edu.

Dear MSPM students,

The top 3 items you need to know this week:

Course Feedback Surveys

If you have any issues regarding the course feedback surveys, including requests for the expired surveys to be reopened, please contact Michael Moore at gwsbacad@gwu.edu.

If you receive a survey from me regarding AACSB accreditation, please note that this is separate from the course feedback surveys. Not all students will receive a survey from me on this matter, only those in DNSC 6261, DNSC 6262, and DNSC 6269.

Grade Confirmation Letters and PMI PDU Activity Reporting

To receive a grade confirmation letter for tuition reimbursement purposes, email mspminfo@gwu.edu the following details upon receipt of your final grade via GWeb:

  • Name
  • GWid
  • Course Name and Code
  • Credit Hours
  • Grade, as provided via GWeb, not in Blackboard

To report your professional development activities in order to maintain your PMI credential(s), contact PMI directly. PMI does offer an online Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) system to report PDUs and view your certification records. A printable form is also available on the site.

Fall 2013 Course Feedback Schedule

As we near the end of the fall 2013 semester, you will be asked to complete course feedback surveys. The surveys are anonymous and are the best method for providing honest, constructive feedback on your experience in the course. The feedback is then utilized to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the course, faculty, and the program so that we may adjust the curriculum as needed.

Once made available, the surveys are open for 5 days and will not be reopened once closed. The schedule for the surveys is provided below so that you can prepare your comments.
