•Free Access to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 365
The GW Division of IT announced in July that Microsoft Office Professional Plus 365 is available at no cost to all current students. You are able to install full versions of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) on up to 5 PCs or Macs and up to 5 mobile devices. Log in to https://portal.office.com using your full GW email address (NetID@gwu.edu) and corresponding GW NetID password.
•WebEx Now Available to GW Students
The GW DIT also announced in July that WebEx is now available to all GW students. The collaborative meeting tool allows for real-time video meetings and sharing of computer content over the web. Students can host WebEx meetings for free using a computer for up to 8 attendees. To begin using, login to gwstudent.webex.com with your GW NetID and corresponding password. •Seeking Student “Actors” for Online Course Development, Compensation Provided
2U, which produces online courses for GW and other universities, is seeking students to participate in round table discussions on camera in February and March as part of their online course development. Interested students should have completed an introductory finance and accounting/auditing course. Student “actors” are required to read case studies and come prepared to discuss the material on camera in a round table format. Compensation provided, estimated at $300 for a half day of filming.
