An introduction to Performance Improvement

Program Management
Our Program Management teams provide comprehensive services to design build and operate large complex transformational programs, including the following: PMO design, build and operate; Program transformation project management; Program delivery effectiveness.
Requirements for a position with the Program Management team include the following:
• Pursuing a master’s degree with an emphasis in Finance, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering and/or Business (Operations or Project Management) is preferred
• Experiences as a team lead on large scale complex programs with exposure to the following:  PMO Support, Project Management, Program Development/Testing, Business Requirements Analysis, Quality Assurance and large ERP implementation
• PMP is preferred
Work Locations include: Chicago, Dallas, New York, and San Francisco

DreamSpark and Microsoft Project
The GWSB IT team is working to ensure MSPM students have access to DreamSpark and are able to download Microsoft Project. Once all accounts have been either created or renewed an update will be sent to all. For those enrolled in DNSC 6261 and DNSC 6262, Prof Jain is aware of the situation. An alternative means of accessing Microsoft Project is available through the Virtual Computer Lab.
3rd Annual GWSB Career Week, 8-11 Sep
The F. David Fowler Career Center is proud to host Career Week 2015 next week, 8-11 Sep. The programming prepares GWSB students to compete effectively in the employment market while networking and connecting with hiring decision makers. This event is open to all GWSB students. GWSB Short-Term Study Away Programs Announced for Winter & Spring 2016
The GWSB Global & Experiential Education team announced the winter and spring 2016 short-term study away programs last week. Interested in learning more about the courses and destinations? Attend the Short-term Study Away Information Session on Tuesday, 15 Sep, 6-7:30 p.m. in Duques Hall, room 251. For those not able to attend, the session will be recorded and posted online for all to view. The courses qualify as general elective options for the MSPM degree.

CityBridge is seeking a Program Manager, Stewardship and Engagement (Washington, DC)

CityBridge is seeking a Program Manager, Stewardship and Engagement who will provide opportunities for philanthropic and business leaders to learn about and actively engage in D.C.’s education ecosystem.  Through signature programming that includes guided school tours and education-themed book discussions, special events that convene thought leaders, education practitioners, and “stewards” around important topics and speakers, and high-touch relationship, the Stewardship team strives to be a resource and advisor to the philanthropic community.  4-6 years of experience is desired, as well as an event planning/project management background, and experience in the field of education is also strongly preferred.
