Internships with the Mexico Institute

The Mexico Institute seeks Spring 2016 interns. There are three different intern positions.  Applications should be received no later than November 15, 2015. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Language ability in both English and Spanish preferred. International students on F-1 and J-1 visas eligible to apply.

Deadline Extended for Language Classes, COB 28 Jan

George Washington University students can register until COB tomorrow, January 28, for the 2015 Winter Language Institute at DC Internationals Middle East South Asia Language Institute (MESALI). Classes will take place between February 1 and April 11. The registration deadline has been extended until January 28 for students ONLY.  GW student ID is required. The $50 late fee will additionally be waived.

MESALI offers 4 levels of Normal 60 hour and 90 hour Intensive classes in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Persian, Russian, French and more. We continue to offer less intensive Standard classes in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Amharic, Tagrinia, Somali, Turkish, Kurdish and fifteen languages. We also offer private lessons and custom made classes.

Project Manager Positions with UUX

UUX is a new corporation that will enable operators to provide the Ultimate User eXperience over mobile and fixed networks.

UUX provides network operators with the ultimate Internet-TV-as-a-Service (iTaaS) platform.

The UUX iTaaS platform is delivered with the philosophy that initial user engagement with video often begins outside of the living room on one or more connected devices. With its unique smart phone-based user interface, iTaaS enables a new approach to discovery, control, consumption and monetization of Live and Catch-Up television and Video-on-Demand content across all Internet connected devices and screens.

UUX is looking for two project managers to run projects partnering with local cellular operators in developing countries to provide access to the UUX iTaas platform. The positions are based in Miami, FL with opportunities to also be in São Paulo, Brazil. Prefer those who have experience with mobile carriers, application development, and content delivery.  An individual comfortable in a start-up environment is key. International travel is required and knowledge of a foreign language is a plus.
