Megaprojects, 3rd International Workshop Held 4 Jun, Recording Available
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Megaprojects: Theory Meets Practice, 3rd International Workshop on 4 Jun. The event drew in attendees and speakers from not only the United States, but South Korea, the United Kingdom, and beyond.

• Last Day to Withdraw from Summer Session I Courses, 12 Jun
The last day to withdraw from Summer Session I courses is Friday, 12 Jun. If you need to withdraw, act now! Submit a Registration Transaction Form (not a RTF-EZ) to me immediately to withdraw from a session I course.

MSPM Students Study Abroad in Summer 2015
Several MSPM students are using their elective credits to study abroad this summer. Four students just returned from Cork, Ireland where they studied international and multicultural issues in organizations. Another student is learning about the globalization of American sports, entertainment, and business in China.

Megaprojects, 4 Jun, Limited Number of Free Registrations for MSPM Students
The MSPM program is pleased to offer a limited number of free registrations to the 4 Jun Megaprojects: Theory Meets Practice, 3rd International Workshop. The event features international and domestic speakers from government, industry, and academia. If you are interested in attending, email Cambria Happ at chapp@gwu.edu and provide the following information: Full Name, Email, Employer, and Job Title. All registration requests must be received no later than Monday, 1 Jun, at 9 a.m. EDT. Preregistration required, onsite registrations will not be accommodated.

• Applying Lessons from the PMBOK to the Real World, 27 May
The MSPM program is proud to host the PMIWDC Washington Circle Luncheon on Wednesday, 27 May, 12-1 p.m. Tomorrow’s topic is “Applying Lessons from the PMBOK Guide to the Real World” with speaker Mark Tolbert, PMP. The brown bag event (bring your lunch) is free to attend and is held in Duques Hall, room 453. Register online at www.pmiwdc.org.

Last Day to Add Summer Session 1 Class, 29 May
Friday, 29 May, is the last day to add a class for Summer Session 1 using a Registration Transaction Form.

Yesterday, 25 May, was the last day to drop a course in Summer Session 1. The last day to withdraw from a Summer Session 1 class with a grade of W is Friday, 12 Jun. Assess your situation and take action early. Each student is responsible for understanding the add/drop/withdraw schedule and for managing themselves accordingly.

• RRMC Seeking a Project Manager (Washington, DC)
The Research & Regulatory Management Council (RRMC) is seeking a project manager to provide comprehensive oversight by planning, directing, and coordinating activities to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished for multiple joint venture and task force programs. RRMC designs and develops required health and safety data for raw chemical manufacturers and companies that market end-use products.

GW PMA-Sponsored PMP Prep Course, May 2015

Summer 2015: Core and Elective Courses
The MSPM program is offering 3 core courses this summer: DNSC 6258, DNSC 6259, and DNSC 6262. Online sections for DNSC 6258 and DNSC 6259 have fewer than 18 seats remaining. Register ASAP to ensure a seat in your planned courses.

We have several DNSC electives available for on campus students and we just confirmed 2 online electives. Full details on the blog.
A new general elective offering in summer for on campus students was recently announced. IBUS 6290.80 Defense Contracting: Political Economy and Foreign Policy (3 credits). Course is taught by Dr. Eugene Gholz, a visiting faculty member from UT Austin. Course offered during the first 6 week session of the summer, meets twice a week.

AY 2015-2016 Tuition Rates Released
The tuition rates for the 2015-2016 academic year were released last week. The per credit hour rate for summer 2015, fall 2015, and spring 2016 semesters will be $1,545. The student association fee will also increase to $2.25 per credit hour.

Regalia for the May 2015 Graduation
We are aware that the Herff Jones website does not reflect the correct dates for the School of Business Celebration events for both undergraduates and graduates. The responsible parties are correcting the issue. Once updated, I will notify all graduating students so that you may order your regalia.

For those planning to purchase regalia at the Commencement Fair, the fair is scheduled for 24-28 Mar at the GW Campus Store in Foggy Bottom. A Commencement Fair is also scheduled at the Virginia Science and Technology Campus on 9 Apr, 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
