Summer 2015 Registration Opens 2 Mar
Registration for summer 2015 courses opens Monday, 2 Mar, on GWeb. Do you know what classes you are taking this summer? Refresh your memory via DegreeMAP and/or schedule an advisement session with the program director to discuss. Need a reminder the summer semester dates? Review the Academic Calendar.
A reminder of upcoming deadlines for the spring semester, 6 Feb is the last day to add or drop a course without academic penalty using a RTF.
Does your loan package require registration in a minimum number of credits? Educate yourself on the terms of your loan prior to registration. Remember, compliance with the terms of your loan is your responsibility.

Pilar Little is the designated Graduate Career Consultant for MSPM students. Schedule a meeting with her to discuss your resume, job search, upcoming career fairs, to negotiate a job offer, or to answer any questions about the services available to you through the F. David Fowler Career Center. Remember, these services continue once you graduate from the program.

Federal Contracting: An Option for Government Employment
For those interested in federal contracting jobs in the DC metro area, attend the 10 Feb event at the Marvin Center, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Lockheed Martin, Leidos, LMI, and AgileX are among the companies represented at the event. RSVP in GWork.

Spring Registration & GTAs
Spring 2015 registration opened on Monday, 10 Nov. Classes are starting to fill up. Be sure to register early to guarantee a seat in your required or elective courses. I do expect the DNSC electives to fill to capacity.
Interested in serving as a GTA for the spring? If so, speak to the professor for the class you’d like to be a GTA. Each professor selects their GTAs. If you have never been a GTA before, you are required to attend a training seminar on 8 Jan. Payments generally range from $1,250 to $2,500 per course and workload is usually 10 hours per week.

Career Center Walk-in Hours, 13 Nov
The specialized masters career coach, Pilar Little, is hosting walk-in hours tomorrow, 13 Nov, 4-5 pm. She’ll spend 10 minutes with each student to answer career-related questions. No appointment or RSVP needed. Meet her outside of the F. David Fowler Career Center, suite 560 in Duques Hall.

G&EE Trivia Night and Photo Contest
The GWSB Global & Experiential Education team is hosting two events in celebration of International Education Week:

International Trivia Competition, 19 Nov

Join other GWSB students for a night of international trivia at Stoney’s on L St, NW. Compete in teams of 3-5 people. Sign up online. Food and drinks provided. Prizes awarded to winners.

International Photo Competition, 14 Nov

Submit photos from study abroad programs or from around Washington, DC. Submission deadline is 14 Nov at midnight. Review full details online.
