2015 PMIEF Scholarship Recipients Announced
The PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF) announced their awards for 2015. Over 200 scholarships were awarded to students, teachers, and practitioners from around the world. Awardees included GW MSPM students Dongying Ma and Santiago Roldan Acevedo. Congratulations!
 
Review the list of available scholarships and apply before 1 May for consideration.  

Spring Semester Begins Monday, 11 Jan
Are you ready for the spring semester? Registered for classes? Ordered your textbooks? Did you answer no to any of these questions? Time is running out, take action now to avoid late fees. 

University Policy Regarding Religious Holidays
Students must notify faculty during the first week of the semester of their intention to be absent from class on their day(s) of religious observance. Review the full policy and calendar on the Office of the Provost website.

All specialized masters students are invited to a town hall with Dean Livingstone on Wednesday, 27 Jan, 6-7 p.m. EST. Event will take place in Duques Hall, room 353. Additional details will be sent in the coming weeks.

For information on all student accounts-related questions, visit the Student Accounts Office website. Spring 2016 payments are due Monday, 11 Jan.

University Bulletin
Students enrolled in GW are required to conform to the regulations within the Bulletin and to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school in which they are registered. Students are responsible for educating themselves on the regulations and requirements of GW, the school, and their program.

Summer 2014 Textbook List

The textbook list for the summer 2014 MSPM courses is now available at www.gwprojectmanagement.org. The list of books has also been shared with the GW bookstore. For those looking to find the cheapest options available, review this list of 11 sites for cheap textbooks.

For all non-MSPM courses, please check the Schedule of Classes or the GW Bookstore sites for textbook information. The fall 2014 textbook list should be made available to all students in July.

University Counseling Center

This messages serves as a reminder of the services provided by the University Counseling Center. The Center is the primary mental health agency for GW students and the rest of the campus community. Their office on the Foggy Bottom Campus is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. 24-hour support is available via phone at 202-994-5300.  We encourage all students to utilize the Center’s services.

23 Apr, 11:30am-1pm EDT – Organizational Change Management for Project Managers featuring Karen Davey-Winter in Duques 453 in DC. Event is organized by PMIWDC and is free of charge, however registration requested.

23 Apr, 5:30-7:30pm EDT – Women in Technology Roundtable hosted by the GW Tech Alumni. Registration is free.

1 May – International Engineering, Security, and Project Professionals Conference in College Park, MD.

13-15 May – FOSE, the nation’s premier event for government technology professionals, in DC. Free for government personnel and members of PMIWDC (use promo code CF4F63). Visit the GW booth in the expo hall!

17 May, 12-2pm EDT – International Student Graduation Reception & Luncheon, Alumni House in DC. Free to attend, registration requested.
