Register by Wednesday, 10 Sep, for GW Alumni Weekend 2014. Alumni Weekend is scheduled for 18-21 Sep. Students are encouraged to attend and actively participate. Activities range from special lectures to sporting events to concerts. Don’t miss out!
The short-term study abroad programs (STAP) were announced last night for winter 2015 and spring 2015. A variety of countries are represented including Mexico, Singapore, Israel, and France. Applications for the winter 2015 programs are due by 1 Oct. The application deadline for spring programs is 2 Nov. Pay careful attention to the deadlines for each program as some are earlier than the dates listed above. Also, some programs are offering information sessions in the next few weeks so that you may learn more about each course before applying. This is a great way to earn elective credit and the programs are open to both on-campus and online students. Contact Lisa Brancheau to learn more about the study abroad courses at email@example.com.
Put that student ID to work! A variety of retail stores, sports teams, restaurants, and other businesses offer discounts for flashing your student ID. Visit the following websites for listings of these discounts:
Every year during Alumni Weekend, campus comes alive as thousands of alumni, friends and families return to GW. During the four days of activities, 18-21 Sep, all Colonials and their families are invited to choose from 60+ events. Students are invited to participate. Review the schedule of events and register online.
Sunday, 7 Sep, is the last day to add or drop classes via GWeb. Refer to the refund schedule for dropped courses and possible refunds. As a reminder, you must be registered for a class every fall and spring semester or apply to take a Leave of Absence to maintain continuous enrollment at GW. Failure to do so puts your enrollment into jeopardy.
